Built-in protection for AuoCAD Files

Document Policy Definition and Verification
TrustView for AutoCAD supports document policy definitions such as individual policies, offline reading and policy templates. This allows the document administrator to set different levels of security and access for documents and user groups. For flexibility, users can connect to the system over the network or be granted offline reading permission when away on business for accessing confidential documents.

DWG Viewer Support
The DWG Viewer from AutoDesk is supported while retaining the raw AutoCAD file's original permissions. It also provides a more cost-effective and secure way of sharing design files.

 

Makes the TrustView Server's Powerful Management Capabilities Available
All TrustView products can access the powerful and flexible management capability of the TrustView Server. For administrators, the administrative interface (ACM) offers an easy way to manage the TrustView DRM for AutoCAD system. The main functions provided by the TrustServer are account management, document policy management and audit log. As the TrustServer's management features include multiple groups for user accounts, administrator hierarchy/group administrator, synchronization of multiple account systems and audit logs, it provides TrustView for AutoCAD with an even more comprehensive management mechanism. (see Fig. 3)

User Accounts Can Belong to Different Groups
Modern corporations may be organized into flexible organizational structures such as virtual organizations, matrix organizations and task forces. TrustView's built-in account system allows each user account to belong to multiple groups. This not only provides better support for the company's actual organization but also makes management more flexible and intuitive.

Administrator Hierarchy/Group Administrator
Super administrators can define group administrators for each department, office or plant. The role feature allows for true delegation of authority so each unit can manage their own policies and accounts using a hierarchy of permissions approach.

Audit Log
Traditional event logs only provide a file access log or make it difficult to search for the desired records. TrustView not only records all access attempts but also actions such as content duplication, printing and editing. It also supports flexible conditions such as time, file name, account or group to make the task of auditing access logs more efficient and precise. (see Fig. 4)

Automatic Encryption Module for File Server
For data folders on the File Server, all the administrator need do is define in advance the access privileges for different folders. Once done, all further files uploaded to File Server will be automatically protected and encrypted according to the access policy set for each folder. This greatly reduces the burden on administrators and improves process efficiency.
